PKR president Anwar Ibrahim believes the current Umno-PAS cooperation will start to fray closer to the next general election due to differences in their policies and ideologies.

Anwar was responding to a question about claims that the alliance was still being questioned by grassroots members of both parties.
It was previously reported that a draft joint charter for cooperation between Umno and PAS had been submitted to leaders of the respective parties.
The charter is expected to be ready after Hari Raya.
Umno secretary-general Annuar Musa had said that this charter would enable greater collaboration between both parties at both the national and state levels, and would formalise the ties forged soon after last year's general election.
