Enhanced MCO ends in Simpang Renggam, extended in Sungai Lui

CORONAVIRUS | The enhanced movement control order (MCO) for Kampung Dato Ibrahim Majid and Bandar Baharu Dato Ibrahim Majid in Simpang Renggam, Johor will end tomorrow.
This marks the first time an enhanced MCO is being lifted for an entire neighbourhood.
The two villages were under strict lockdown since March 27, in which residents were not allowed to leave their homes, even for food. Non-residents are also barred from entering the area.
However, the enhanced MCO for Sungai Lui, Selangor - which was imposed on March 29 - has been extended until May 5.
The restrictions were only limited to a the Maahad Tahfiz An-Nabawiyyah and a house in Batu 23, Kampung Payar Lebar.
The rest of the Sungai Lui area was no longer subjected to the enhanced MCO since April 15.
These new developments for the enhanced MCO were announced by Senior Minister (security cluster) Ismail Sabri Yaakob today.
The enhanced MCO has been applied on areas or an entire building where there are clusters of Covid-19 infections.
So far, the other enhanced MCO areas are the vicinity of Selangor Mansion and Malayan Mansion in downtown Kuala Lumpur as well as the vicinity of the Kuala Lumpur wholesale market in northern Kuala Lumpur.
