Kelantan allows laundrettes, workshops, hardware stores to operate
After recording zero Covid-19 cases, Kelantan will loosen its restrictions and allow three types of businesses to operate again soon specifically laundrettes, motor workshops and hardware stores.
Kelantan Deputy Menteri Besar Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah (above) said this was decided at the state-level National Security Council (NSC) meeting today.
After recording zero Covid-19 cases, Kelantan will loosen its restrictions and allow three types of businesses to operate again soon specifically laundrettes, motor workshops and hardware stores.
Kelantan Deputy Menteri Besar Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah (above) said this was decided at the state-level National Security Council (NSC) meeting today.
“Even though such premises have been allowed to operate in other states before this, Kelantan took the approach of wait-and-see first before reaching the decision today.
“As such, the premises which have been allowed to operate will have to make an application and follow the standard operating procedures which have been set while they are operating.
“So far, hundreds of such premises have already applied and the meeting’s decision today will be brought to the International Trade and Industry Ministry before they can operate in the near future,” he said after the NSC state-level meeting at the Kota Darulnaim complex in Kota Bharu.
Mohd Amar also said that only full-service laundrettes are allowed to operate.
“Self-service launderettes are not allowed because we want to avoid people gathering.
“We will wait for the announcements from the Health Ministry for any developments from time to time.
“Kelantan has now been unofficially classified as a Covid-19 green zone after not having any new cases for several days,” he said
