A senior Singaporean citizen has obtained a court declaration that his 13-day detention by Malaysian Immigration authorities in 2018 was illegal.

Kuala Lumpur High Court judge Noorin Badaruddin yesterday allowed 63-year-old Wong Chun Khuen’s legal challenge against his detention by the Johor Immigration Department from March 14 to 26 that year.
