Najib wants probe over 'attempts to conceal evidence' on 1MDB, SRC
Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak has lodged a police report against unidentified parties accused of "concealing material evidence" related to financial transactions linked to 1MDB and SRC International which formed part of the criminal trials against him.

Najib (above) told reporters he was unable to reveal the names of the individuals but identified them as being appointed to the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) and the MACC during Pakatan Harapan's federal administration.
He said the report follows the revelation by the MACC last week that Singapore had repatriated to Malaysia US$15.4 million in 1MDB-linked funds that involved a company co-owned by Tawfiq Ayman, the husband of former Bank Negara governor Zeti Akhtar Aziz.
"No one can be more disappointed than me since no investigation agencies had ever revealed to me the governor's family links to Jho Low or the dealings, as I had fully trusted her during my time as prime minister.
"Even more disappointing is the revelation by the former attorney-general Tommy Thomas two days ago that he was aware of such transactions during his time in office," Najib told reporters at the Dang Wangi police station today.
On Thursday, Thomas said MACC's investigation against Zeti and her husband was not concluded under his watch from June 2018 to February 2020 during Harapan's rule and he did not get a chance to see the papers.
The Pekan MP also cited de facto Law Minister Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar's answer in Parliament on Monday that police had known about the matter since at least 2019, but investigations are still ongoing to date.
"Such information was never made known to me and my legal team for my defence in court despite such information being material in both my SRC and 1MDB cases.
"I was also made aware that another key prosecution witness in my SRC case had similarly received more than RM85 million directly linked to 1MDB, and yet again, me and my legal team, were not told about this despite the individuals playing a key role in the SRC case," he said.
"Therefore, I have just made a report to ask the police to investigate if there were attempts to conceal material evidence from me and all Malaysians by certain key and current individuals in the AGC and MACC appointed under the Harapan administration," he added.
Since the reported revelations against Zeti and her husband, various parties had called on the MACC to divulge its findings on the matter.
