Floods: Ministers' holiday cancelled, PM tells those overseas to come back
Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob has canceled the year-end leave applications by his cabinet until after the flood situation has passed.
He has also ordered those already on leave and who are abroad to come back immediately.

"Those who have not yet gone on holiday and such, (I order them) to cancel their leave until after this flood problem is over.
"Those who are overseas and can return, return immediately and be with the people who are facing hardship," Ismail Sabri (above) said.
He had tweeted a video of his remarks, believed to be recorded during a doorstop in Bentong, Pahang.
Following Ismail Sabri's order to cabinet ministers, Chief Secretary to the Government Mohd Zuki Ali also cancelled the year-end leave for all ministries' secretaries-general and the directors-general of government agencies.
"This order is effective immediately," said Zuki in a statement released this evening.
"This is to ensure that all government agencies can join forces to prepare all government machinery in facing the current situation."
The floods have killed 41 people thus far, while eight people are missing.
After hitting the West Coast of the peninsula and Klang Valley, heavy rains and floods are expected to batter the East Coast, with Pahang among the states at risk of worse flooding.
It is unclear how many federal cabinet members are currently abroad.
It is also unclear whether the ministers abroad will be exempted from quarantine requirements once they return.
Currently, fully vaccinated Malaysians must be quarantined for seven days at home.
Those returning from high-risk countries where the Omicron variant is spreading are also required to wear a digital monitoring device.
