Fledgling Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) has officially advertised itself to suitors.
They are seeking partners - parties or a coalition - that subscribes to its six pillars.
The six pillars are: multiracial engagement, women's empowerment, youth empowerment, economic development, education and the advancement of science and technology.
In a statement, PBM secretary-general Hizwan Ahmad (above) said these pillars were part of his party's "National Reset" agenda that would bring new ideas.
"For the sake of the nation, PBM is prepared to join forces with any parties or coalition which subscribe to these six core pillars," he said.
Previously, PBM president Larry Sng said his party was considering joining BN. It is uncertain if BN had ever extended an invitation.
PBM was formed in Nov 2021 as a rebranded version of Sarawak Workers Party, which Sng's father founded and led in 2012.
Currently, PBM has two MPs - Sng (Julau) and Steven Choong (Tebrau). Both Sng and Choong defected from PKR last year and became the primary movers of PBM.
Hizwan too is a former PKR member who joined Bersatu after the events of the "Sheraton Move" in February 2020.
Following this, he was best known as the leader of a group known as Penggerak Komuniti Negara (PKN), which is linked to Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin.
In December last year, a large number PKN joined PBM.
For now, there are no coalitions that have publicly shown interest in PBM.
