KJ to meet parents of teen who died after Covid-19 jab
COVID-19 | Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin will meet with the parents of the late Revnesh Kumar Naresh Kumar tomorrow and present them with their son’s long-awaited forensic report.
The ministry has been investigating the cause of death since the 13-year-old passed away on Jan 16, 18 days after his first Covid-19 vaccination jab.

The ministry has been investigating the cause of death since the 13-year-old passed away on Jan 16, 18 days after his first Covid-19 vaccination jab.
In a broadcast press conference today, Khairy explained that the delay was caused by the need for extensive tests.
“This is because we want to ensure a thorough investigation, not just a post-mortem after he died but we also sent samples of his blood and tissues to the laboratory.
“We have also been waiting on a report from the Chemistry Department, which we received today. That is why I am meeting his parents tomorrow,” he said when asked.
Khairy said the ministry will not be able to release Revnesh’s post mortem report to the public unless his parents allow for it.
He also assured that the ministry’s special pharmacovigilance committee on Covid-19 vaccines will scrutinise the post mortem report. The committee is in charge of looking into Covid-19 adverse events following immunisation (AEFI) cases.
Klang MP Charles Santiago previously urged the ministry to conduct a transparent investigation and to publish Revnesh’s forensic report.
Following his death, the teenager’s parents appealed to the public to reconsider vaccinating their children in a now-viral video.
