The issue of the BN candidate for the Rembau parliamentary seat has been settled after the incumbent, Khairy Jamaluddin, publicly announced that he was giving way to Umno deputy president Mohamad Hasan to contest there in the 15th general election (GE15).

The Malaysian Gazette reported that Khairy, who is the Rembau Umno deputy chief, made the announcement when delivering the adjournment speech at the Rembau Umno delegates meeting today.
