GE15 | BN chairperson Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said that all students in the B40 grouping will get a free higher education if his coalition wins the upcoming general election (GE15).

Zahid also promised that studying for primary and secondary school students will be done on laptops and not textbooks.

“BN will give free laptops to all B40 students and ensure that all schools will have 5G internet access within 18 months.

"As for higher education, we will introduce a hybrid learning system which is 50 percent on campus and 50 percent online," he said when announcing his coalition's plans to revamp the education system from preschool to tertiary levels.

Zahid, who is also the Umno president, said under the manifesto, all schools will start teaching other languages such as Mandarin, Tamil, Iban, Kadazan, Dusun and other ethnic languages.

"We will also introduce new skills classes like coding classes in schools," he added at the online launch of BN's manifesto which emphasised both prosperity and stability.

The manifesto also promised free preschools and childcare for all kids aged six and below.
