PKR information chief Fahmi Fadzil has challenged PAS to make a police report over its claims that DAP is promoting Islamophobia.
The Lembah Pantai MP stated this in his Twitter posting today in response to an earlier Facebook posting by PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang.
“If the allegation against DAP is true, then lodge a police report. Let the authorities take action,” Fahmi said.
In his FB post, Hadi accused DAP of promoting Islamophobia by attacking his party.
“For its political expediency, the creedless and immoral DAP has started showing its true colours. This is apparent with the party openly slandering Islam in broad daylight, especially against PAS.
“PAS has become DAP’s target due to PAS’ progress in the 15th general election (GE15) in acquiring the highest number of (parliamentary) seats among all individual parties, including DAP and other parties it (DAP) uses as ‘tools’ in the Pakatan Harapan coalition,” Hadi wrote.
For the record, PAS has 44 parliamentary seats under its belt, while DAP has 40.
Hadi did not specify the reason for his latest outburst against DAP. Still, it comes following police reports lodged by Harapan leaders and supporters against online hate allegedly spread by PAS members and supporters during and after GE15.
‘Mimicking the West’
Hadi further accused DAP of parroting an anti-Islam narrative which he said is often voiced by “Orientalists” and the Western media to make PAS look bad.

Training his guns on Malay leaders in DAP, Hadi said “stupid, liberal Malays who Islam rejects” are appointed to be the party’s spokespersons.
“What right does DAP have to question the PAS state governments in Kelantan, Kedah, and Terengganu, in banning alcohol for Muslims only, and giving freedom to the non-Muslims? Is this not extremism?
“The fact is, it is DAP who is extreme and tries to cheat by presenting Malay Muslim members, candidates, and leaders. It will not legitimise DAP’s ideology that goes against Islam - like how a Muslim cook donning a kopiah or serban (Islamic headgear) will not legitimise the cooking of pork.
“The stink emanating from the rotting corpse (of DAP’s alleged Islamophobia) cannot be hidden by its faeces-covered hands, although it has a facade of a Muslim,” Hadi claimed.
Hang Babeuf is not a member of DAP or PKR or Pakatan Harapan or any political group or association. But he readily pleads guilty to STUPIDOPHOIBIA. Many Malaysian politicians have a bad case of THE STUPIDS .. ..
