Negeri Sembilan Pakatan Harapan is open to working with BN for the upcoming state election, said its leader Aminuddin Harun.

However, a decision from the coalition's top leadership on the matter is still pending, the menteri besar added.

"It will be decided by the Harapan leadership. We will adhere to any decision made.

"At the state level, I have no problems. As we can see, during the (ongoing) state assembly sitting, everything is peaceful and there is cooperation," he was reported as saying by Utusan Malaysia.

Harapan has 20 of the 36 state assembly seats while the rest are BN’s.

The state assembly unanimously passed the Negeri Sembilan budget yesterday.

The state assembly term will expire on July 2.

During the Nov 19 general election, BN won five parliamentary seats in Negeri Sembilan while Harapan won three. Perikatan Nasional did not win any seats.
