Hadi's health deteriorating, says son

PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang’s health is deteriorating and he is currently in a hospital for treatment.

This was conveyed by his son, Muhammad Khalil Abdul Hadi, through a post on Facebook this morning.

“Please pray for my father’s recovery. His health deteriorated slightly before Aidiladha and he is now receiving further treatment and being monitored by doctors at the hospital,” he said.

According to Khalil, who is the Batu Buruk state assemblyperson, his father was not well when he attended the launch of the Terengganu PAS Youth election machinery in Marang on Tuesday (June 27) but insisted on attending the event.

While Khalil did not mention the hospital where his father is being treated but Hadi was previously admitted to the National Heart Institute several times for treatment.

Meanwhile, Khalil told Bernama that Hadi, 75, was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kuala Terengganu and was reported to be in stable condition.

“(His condition is) Stable, he needs a good rest,” he said through WhatsApp.
