Bollywood 'Stars on Fire' KL concert cancelled

Bollywood icon Hrithik Roshan was to have been the main attraction for the Stars on Fire Kuala Lumpur Live in Concert, but it has been cancelled.

In an Instagram reel, Hrithik personally announced the cancellation, along with an apology message from the organisers - Yess Boss Group, Dembi Productions, and Heart-Art Production.

“Dear people of Malaysia… I was eagerly looking forward to be with all of you for the Stars on Fire tour.

“However, considering the current challenges and out of deep respect for the wellbeing of the people of Malaysia, we all have made the decision to cancel this tour,” said the 49-year-old singer and actor.

“My prayers and thoughts are with you all,” he added.

The organisers today also reiterated their commitment to refund all ticket holders.

Promising fans an exciting night of catchy Bollywood songs and iconic dance performances at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium on Dec 1, ticket sales for the concert started in October.

On Nov 27, concert organiser Yess Boss Group however announced the show was postponed to a new date, before the latest cancellation.

A week before the postponement, PAS’ Kuala Krai MP Abdul Latiff Abdul Rahman urged the government to call off the concert that would also feature other Indian artistes, labelling the event “unsuitable and insensitive” amid the tragedies in Gaza.
