3 Nenggiri by-election nomination forms bought to date, EC says

The Kelantan Election Commission (EC) confirmed that three nomination forms for the Nenggiri by-election in Gua Musang have been purchased so far.

Kelantan EC director Fakhrul Razi Ab Wahab said one of the forms in question was bought by a representative from Parti Sedar Rakyat (Sedar) this morning.

“So far three forms have been bought by representatives of those who will contest in the Nenggiri by-election, including from Sedar today,” he told Bernama.

On June 19, Kelantan assembly speaker Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah announced that the Nenggiri state seat was vacant after Bersatu revoked Mohd Azizi Abu Naim’s party membership on June 13.

The EC has set Aug 3 for nomination and Aug 13 for early voting.

Polling day falls on Aug 17.
