Former prime minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob is recovering after collapsing at his home yesterday.

In an Instagram story, his daughter Nina Sabrina said the Bera MP was “stable and getting better”.

Meanwhile, the New Straits Times cited Ismail Sabri’s press secretary Azran Fitri Rahim as saying that the Umno leader’s blood pressure was slightly elevated.

The Umno veteran collapsed early yesterday morning while walking to the kitchen.

The former premier regained consciousness soon after but was very weak.

Ismail Sabri was then brought to a hospital for treatment.
