The three-day Sumud Nusantara Malaysiaku carnival held recently to raise awareness on Palestinians’ suffering had courted flak due to it also involving a food festival amid an Israel-enforced mass starvation in Gaza.

However, several event attendees whom Malaysiakini interviewed found no issue with the food festival.
