Make public Ayer Hitam land sale first, I'll report if there's wrongdoing: Subang MP
Subang MP Wong Chen today said he will personally lodge a report with the authorities if he finds any wrongdoing in the sale of forest reserve land in Kinrara, Puchong.

Subang MP Wong Chen today said he will personally lodge a report with the authorities if he finds any wrongdoing in the sale of forest reserve land in Kinrara, Puchong.
However, the PKR lawmaker stressed that the Selangor government must first disclose all details of the alleged sale of 68.4ha of land in the Ayer Hitam Forest Reserve to Jakel Group for scrutiny.
“Until the government of Selangor officially and fully discloses the facts and figures regarding the land transactions, and until everyone can analyse the disclosed facts, it will be wrong and premature for me or anyone in Kinrara to lodge a report to any authorities.
“If and when the facts are finally disclosed by the Selangor government, and if the facts show wrongdoing or poor accountability, I will personally file a report with the authorities,” he said in a statement.
Wong was responding to Kinrara assemblyperson Ng Sze Han, who advised him to report to MACC or any law enforcement agency if he suspects “hanky-panky” in the land acquisition process.

Ng, who is a state exco member, also reportedly told a forum yesterday that he supported transparency and urged Wong to be patient, saying that Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari would address the matter in the next state legislative assembly sitting.
‘Not my problem, but many complained to me’
To this, Wong reminded Ng, who is Selangor DAP chairperson, that the land issue was his responsibility, as the land in question falls under his constituency.
Wong said while the matter was not under his scope of work as an MP, he decided to pursue it after his office received many complaints from Kinrara residents urging him to intervene.
Despite writing three official letters to the state government seeking full disclosure, Wong said he has not received any response.

“To date, the government of Selangor, of which Ng is an exco, has not replied to my official letters.
“The government of Selangor, by not replying to my official letters, is not practising the highest standards of transparency,” Wong said.
Earlier this week, Wong urged the Selangor government to explain allegations that 68.4ha of the Ayer Hitam Forest Reserve land had been sold at a low price.
The MP said checks through the National Property Information Centre showed that Jakel Group had acquired the land at only RM13.80 per square foot.
Wong also urged the state government to repurchase the land from the developer if the allegation was true.
