• Outgoing Rengit state assemblyperson Puad Zarkashi is openly canvassing support for the Pakatan Harapan candidate vying for the seat.

  In a poster shared on his Facebook, the Johor state legislative assembly speaker said Yazid Bakri is the right representative for the seat.

  "I am no longer with any party. I choose a candidate based on the candidate's personal character," he said.

  Puad also said he is supporting Yazid because the latter is "a true son of Rengit" and lives in the area and is also the chairperson of the Al-Wusto Surau.

• The Human Resources Ministry will ensure that every job opportunity created not only meets market demand but also offers a strong wage structure and aligns with the qualifications of job seekers.

  Bernama reported its minister, R Ramanan, saying that the ministry’s main focus has now shifted from simply generating a large volume of jobs to ensuring the quality of job offerings matches applicants’ skills.

  

  “It is useless if we create job opportunities that are not decent, not well-paid, and not suitable for job seekers.

  “That is why we have MYFutureJobs. More than 300,000 job applications have been recorded, with 200,000 successfully matched, while over 100,000 job vacancies are still available on the platform,” he reportedly said.
