• The Registrar of Societies’ (ROS) move to suspend all Perikatan Nasional’s activities amid its potential deregistration will not prevent BN from seeking to establish a political understanding for the Malacca polls.
  
  According to the New Straits Times, Malacca BN chairperson Ab Rauf Yusoh pointed out that PN comprises several parties which will “still exist” during an election, even if the coalition does not.
  
  Rauf, who is also the state chief minister, added that BN will not make any decisions based on PN’s current developments, and will instead wait for negotiations to establish the form of cooperation.
