Umno to decide on KJ's fate
The Umno supreme council is expected to make a decision on Khairy Jamaluddin and others deemed to be party saboteurs tonight (Jan 27).
Khairy had been referred to the disciplinary board for alleging that there were "phantom delegates" brought into the party AGM in order to support a motion to block elections for the Umno presidency and deputy presidency.
Anticipating a sack, PN has made veiled overtures to Khairy, but the Umno presidential hopeful said he would remain loyal to Umno.

HDB fearmongering
Local Government Development Minister Nga Kor Ming’s decision to rope in experts from Singapore’s Housing and Development Board (HDB) to share their expertise on public housing had triggered racially motivated fearmongering from the opposition.
Part of the reason appears to stem from Nga saying in an interview that the HDB contractors would "masuk" (enter) his ministry, which some interpreted as them being hired.
Nga has since clarified that the HDB experts would only be conducting skill-sharing sessions and will not be replacing his ministry's officers.
However, prior to Nga's clarification, Bersatu leaders had claimed that the government was trying to undermine civil servants, national sovereignty, as well as Malay property ownership.
A free-to-air TV station also aired news claiming that Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim had greenlit hiring HDB experts because civil servants were incompetent.

MOE inconsistency called out
Parents of a school in Johor have poked holes in the claim by the Ministry of Education (MOE) that a segregated workshop held at a school was supposed to be a two-parter for all SPM takers.
The parents, Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and Parent Support Group (KSIB) at SMK Infant Jesus Convent Johor Bahru said the ministry's reply was inconsistent with what the principal initially told them.
A source also implied that the Education Ministry co-opted a workshop, originally planned to be held at the school, in order to be on par with the segregated workshop.
