Anwar's salary savings
The government has saved an average of RM22,826.65 a month due to Anwar Ibrahim's decision not to take a salary for his job as the prime minister since November 2022.
This is estimated to amount to around RM300,000 thus far.
Besides Anwar, the entire cabinet has also taken salary cuts since coming to office, which translates to an estimated RM1.2 million in savings each year.

Minister upholds canteen order
Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek has put her foot down and affirmed that school canteens will remain open during Ramadan.
She said she did not want to hear of cases of non-Muslim on non-fasting students eating in store rooms.
PAS' ulama wing had accused Fadhlina of triggering an unnecessary polemic by issuing the order.
Its leader Ahmad Yahaya said non-Muslim students can pack food and eat it at an "allocated space" without canteens having to remain open.

PKR urged to filter 'trash'
PKR has been urged to vet potential members ahead of a speculated influx of defections from Bersatu.
Pasir Gudang MP Hassan Karim said PKR was not a rubbish bin, and that members must subscribe to the party's aspirations and policies.
Earlier this week, former Bersatu supreme council member Muhammad Faiz Na’aman confirmed joining PKR along with former Dengkil assemblyperson Adhif Syan Abdullah.
Following this, both Faiz and PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail claimed that more "high-profile" members would join the party from Bersatu.
