While I do agree with Arbibi Ashoy that the tsunami disaster is not the punishment of God, allow me to give my opinion.

Our almighty God, being the creator of the entire universal and all living beings on earth, has absolute control over all he created. God can stop the tsunami disaster but for reasons unknown to humans, God allow it to happen even though many lives and believers perished.

It is his prerogative!
