Here goes the great saviour of Malaysian women, MP Chew Mei Fun, who seems to say that the woes of Malaysian women who are yet to get married seems to lie with poorly-educated Malaysian men.

Well, on the contrary, that statement might hold water but why must Malaysian men marry highly qualified Malaysian women when women from other regions who are not choosy and more feminine choose to become spouses of Malaysian men?

Who bothers if local women don't want local men. Women from other parts of Southeast Asia are very keen to be good and feminine wives of our local men.

If 'equal stature' is what local women were looking for, then they can continue looking and looking till they become spinster grannies. Three decades ago men married many women who had very little education or just basic education and still progressed to become successful in their married lives. The poorly-educated women made good and caring wives and great mothers who nurtured their children to greater heights which they themselves could not achieve.

What we have today is materialism that has set in like cancer where only money is seen as the key to solve all problems. Love and affection is just extinct words which hold no water unless there is money and a lots of it in the bank. Will words like 'I love you so much' come out from the mouths of those women who claim that Malaysian men are dumb idiots and not of 'equal stature' if there is enough money?

This is an insult to Malaysian women because it is also their failure as mothers who could not raise clever, smart and able sons who in turn will make successful men. Therefore the honourable MP should have known that by pointing the index finger at Malaysian men, three other fingers point at Malaysian women who have brought up these men.

Teachers and educators are women; what have they done to allow such a slack in the performance of boys in schools and universities? Have they not paid attention to the boys in their quest for obtaining straight As for the school? Many federal department heads and state department heads are women; what have they done to see that the lack in education amongst the boys from all races is being dealt with?

Therefore if women don't pay attention to the root problem, they should not be complaining later that Malaysia is full of dumb men. Basically dumb boys and men are the products of careless women, who prefer to teach the girls instead of taking on the challenge and making great leaders out of boys.

It is better that Malaysian men continue looking overseas for spouses as they seem to be appreciated and respected as men by these women opposes to Malaysian women who are only seeing the material aspect of everything in men. To most Malaysian women, a rich man is the ideal man. They don't mind his bad habits and vices as long as he has got the money and they are prepared to stomach his bad side as long as they are well-provided for and also assured of a lifelong support in terms of cash, valuables and properties.

Therefore it is nothing but money, money and money. Therefore as the nation develops, we are going where the already developed nations have gone, ie, the creation of a cold and heartless society which only sees money and nothing else.

It is a pity that we have such women leaders who think so lowly of men. Instead of encouraging men to become successful leaders in life and looking for ways and policies that help men, what we have are women leaders who belittle men. Have they forgotten that men are also a part of the electorate in their constituencies? If Malaysian men have failed and are not up to the mark then it is an indication that Malaysian women have failed too.
