Kelantan prince Tengku Mohd Fakhry Petra today filed an application at the Kota Bahru Syariah High Court to compel his wife Manohara to return to him.

manohara and tengku The prince has also asked the Indonesian teen model to pay back almost RM1 million of a loan which he rendered to her during their marriage.

The application was filed by his lawyer Zainul Rijal Abu Bakar this afternoon.

The prince also obtained a leave from the court to serve the application outside its jurisdiction as Manohara is presently in Indonesia.

The matter will be mentioned before the court on Aug 2.

In the suit, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry wants his estranged wife Mahohara to be loyal to him as well as to return a RM972,750 debt.

The summons was filed under Section 8 (a) of the Syariah Court Civil Procedure (State of Kelantan) Enactment 2002 while the summons to claim the debt was filed at the Syariah High Court under the same enactment and section.

Muhammad Fakhry said the loan included a RM174,000 payment to Manohara to buy a luxury Audemars Piguet wristwatch.

The rest were made through five bank transfers - RM164,500 (on June 17, 2998), RM232,800 (Sept 4, 2008), RM35,000 (Sept 16, 2008), RM30,000 (Sept 18, 2008) and RM 286,450 (Jan 21, 2009).

The prince has furnished receipts of the transactions.

manohara odelia pinot malaysiakini interview 290609 06 Manohara, 17, a former model, fled to Indonesia on May 31 from Singapore where she had gone with her husband to visit the prince's father Sultan of Kelantan, who is receiving treatment for a heart ailment at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital.

Manohara's mother, Daisy Fajarina, has alleged that her daughter was physically and sexually abused when she was in Malaysia after her marriage to Tengku Muhammad Fakhry, 31.

The prince lodged a police report on June 11 claiming slander, and two weeks later, through a media statement, ordered Manohara to return to him by July 2.

Accused of ignoring royal order

The summons for Manohara to be loyal stated that she had ignored the order from her royal husband and return to their residence at the Istana Mahkota in Kubang Kerian as well as to discharge her duties as a wife in accordance to Islamic law.

The summons also stated that the defendant would be declared as having defied her husband if she did not comply with the order to return to him by July 2.

In the summons for return of the debt, the prince claimed that Manohara, before their marriage, had borrowed RM338,500 for both herself and her mother.

He also claimed that after their marriage Manohara had continued to borrow money, for another RM634,250.

Bernama quoted Zainul Rijal as saying that he hoped that Manohara would be able to attend court on Aug 2 when the two cases come up for mention.
