Despite disappearing from the public eye for the past month, controversial Port Klang assemblyperson Badrul Hisham Abdullah today drew plenty of attention in the Selangor state assembly sitting.

Badrul ( left ) had posed an NONE oral question to Science, Technology and Innovation state exco Rodziah Ismail about the Selangor wireless broadband Internet service project in regards to his Port Klang constituency.

Before answering his question, Rodziah said: "I am actually surprised to see you here..."

She then said that Badrul's constituency would benefit from the project in September 2012.

"I hope you will be patient with this project because the process would be carried out in stages," said Rodziah.

However, Badrul was ticked off by deputy speaker Haniza Talhar for addressing Rodziah by her name rather than by her constituency (Batu Tiga) when thanking her for answering the question before proceeding to ask another supplementary question.

"It is against Standing Orders to address her by her name. Please use the name of her constituency," stressed Haniza.

‘ You did not serve the people for 20 months'

Badrul then lashed out at Rodziah rodziah ismail interview 140408 01 , demanding that the state government give priority to Port Klang in implementing this project.

But Rodziah ( right ) sarcastically remarked that she found it ‘strange' as to why Badrul needed to voice this out today. She declined to give him a reply as his ‘question' was not related to the topic.

"I also will not answer this question because Port Klang has failed to do anything for his constituency for the past 20 months," said Rodziah.

Badrul had come under fire from his party colleagues in Pakatan Rakyat for having a poor track record of performance, even before announcing his decision to leave PKR to become a BN-friendly independent last October.

He was also absent from many official functions in his state seat, and was often questioned by the Port Klang residents about his services.
