"We have more than 50,000 members in Penang and the departure of Huan and his supporters will not affect the party," he said.

Huan, who was formerly the Batu Kawan member of Parliament, quit the party last Wednesday to join newly formed Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) yesterday.

It was reported today that about 4,000 more Gerakan members in Penang would follow Huan's footstep to join the PCM.

However, Koh said he had yet to receive any name list of the party members who had left the party to join PCM.
