Barely four months into his tenure as chief executive officer of Sarawak Energy Bhd, Torstein Sjotveitthe has already come under scrutiny in his native Norway for the massive dam project and its impact on the Penans.

Citing a Norwegian newspaper report, tribal peoples’ advocacy group Survival International (Survival) said Sjotveit has been questioned about over alleged violations of indigenous rights.
