The PKR supreme council can take one of three possible actions against Bandar Kulim Baru MP Zulkifli Noordin when it meets tomorrow - issue him a warning, suspend him or sack the maverick politician from the party.

PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution revealed today that his office has received the findings and recommendations from the party disciplinary board, which has probed the case involving the errant party leader.

NONE "I am on my way to get it. I will have to prepare a report on the matter, which would then be tabled at the party supreme council meeting tomorrow," he said.

"The supreme council will study the board's recommendations as well as my report. It would then decide either to endorse the action recommended or propose another solution.

“Either way, according to the party constitution, Zulkifli ( left ) would have 14 days to appeal the decision," he said.

The party's supreme council, which is the highest-decision making body, is scheduled to meet at 2pm tomorrow.

No Muslim-only board

Saifuddin reiterated that the board or the supreme council will not entertain Zulkifli's request for a Muslim-only disciplinary panel as the party had already given him ample opportunities to explain his actions.

PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail had earlier said that a member must abide by party discipline whether or not he or she is a Muslim.

The disciplinary committee has been given the task to probe Zulkifli for a police report he had lodged against PAS Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad and for his scathing criticism of Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng.

The Kulim Baru MP had however claimed that he was brought before the board for his opposition to the party’s stance on the ‘Allah’ issue.

Yesterday, Zulkifli walked out of the disciplinary board in protest against the presence of non-Muslim members on the disciplinary board panel.
