The 'brave' youth of MIC

vox populi small thumbnail 'If Samy Vellu goes, are we assured that the next guy who helms is going to lead the community in a dignified manner?'

Rare show of revolt from MIC Youth leader

Gandhi: V Mugilan seems to be the first guy to start the ball rolling for other meek guys to follow suit and bring S Samy Vellu down. This sudden call is suspicious. One would imagine that a groundswell is taking place in MIC to oust Samy.

It's a long overdue action to send Samy packing and all his cronies who are the culprits in deceiving the community. All those petticoats aka Samy's sycophants have joined Mugilan's move to boot Samy out.

On the other hand, if Mugilan is the sacrificial lamb, then as Samy said he would destroy Mugilan and his backers. It's the most suitable time to hit Samy, when his chips are down. It's heartening, though, to see guys with "balls of steel" to come out to stop the rot in MIC.

But one wonders - if Samy goes, are we assured that the next guy who helms is going to lead the community in a dignified manner? Or will it be old wine in a new bottle? All these guys are cut from the same cloth.

SKS: Come on Mugilan, if Samy Vellu goes, most of us here are going to be sad. We won't have anybody else to laugh at. Who is going to tell us our bed time stories and put us to bed? Now that Samy Vellu is of no interest to you and he is weak, you wack him left and right. Only a coward would hit on a weak man.

Ong: All these useless and cowardly MIC members who demand Samy's resignation should have stood against him during the party elections.

Cala: MIC is in the twilight zone and it is not alone. I hope I am wrong, but whether you like it or not, my guess is MCA, MIC, and Gerakan are going to be irrelevant in the next general election. As it is, combined, their total parliamentary seats is less than DAP and PAS, respectively.

Second, judging from the manner Samy Vellu treated his many disobedient second- in- commands, Mugilan is a brave chap.

But he forgot something: i) the boss is always right; and ii) if the boss is wrong, go immediately to (i). I am kidding, of course.

Go for it, Mugilan. Let MIC members do it instead of you. In a collective sense, the emperor is the members. Samy Vellu is your mere servant. What good is he? He is good because single-handedly he has retarded the progress of the Indian community for 30 years. For that he deserves a ‘Tunship'.

Yet another report lodged over police shooting

Joker: It was reported that the victim reversed his car away from the roadblock. Knowing how roadblocks are usually placed, the victim must have realised there was a roadblock when he came out of a turn. He probably applied emergency brake, and then reversed.

If this is the case, the police would have shot at the front windscreen. If anyone was to be charged for attempted murder, in such a scenario, it would be the police for firing shots at a reversing car.

Alexander Yuan Xjin Kai: The Royal Malaysian Police Force (PDRM) should now change their motto to this "Tembak dulu, tanya kemudian" (Shoot first, ask questions later).

Satinah Osman: It is not a laughable to read of a corrupt PDRM, because the words mean the truth of the tyranny that haunts the nation these days. Someone should question as to who is going to be charged with attempted murder. Surely one cannot be that dumb.

Of course, the driver of the car will be the one who will be charged. His car would also be said to have parangs, scythes, blocks of illicit drugs, firearms, bullets, etc. What chance can the driver have in such a case scenario? Look at what happened to the Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director Ramli Yusuff and his lawyer.

Our PDRM and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission have mastered the art of planting evidence, even the art of destroying evidence of persons having no record of having entered this country through immigration points.

Befair: Well, let's just say all people who run from the police can now do so. The cops will not shoot, so those criminals, ply your trade, rob, rape and kill as you like. No roadblocks are necessary anymore as you can now turn around and run. What can they do? Nothing, as you would have gotten away by then to continue your actions.

If for some reason my comments offend anyone I apologize, as these are my views, and yours may be different and you may be right.

Thai pathologist unable to attend inquest

Maizatull_Cute: The Teoh Beng Hock case has become too much of politicking. I wish that this time, Dr Pornthip Rajanasunand is not using security as her reason for not being able to attend the inquest.

The last time, she did mention clearly that her reason for not attending the inquest is her prior commitments, not security. But the interested party has misled the public by quoting security as the reason for her absence. Why should you be afraid to give your professional views?

This is a serious crime and the authorities are seriously handling this case. Yet, this outsider is making joke of it. Or is this another episode of sandiwara by Pakatan Rakyat to prolong this case until the next election?

Ruben A Soosay: It is indeed disappointing that Pornthip cannot testify after all the effort in getting the second post-mortem done. I know that she did indicate her safety as the key concern, but the government did guarantee her safety. I doubt the judiciary will agree to video conferencing.

There are definitely things wrong in the administration of this country but I don't agree that we would stoop so low as to threaten the safety of a witness, more so a foreigner. The right thing is for her to testify in person.

Ubi Wan Kenobi: The one ultimately responsible for Teoh Beng Hock's death is none other than Najib Razak, although Umno must bear the collective shame of stooping so low to wrest Selangor from Pakatan's hands.

It was Najib who boasted that Selangor would follow Perak, and the former Selangor MB took it upon himself to regain face by instructing the MACC via his buddy, deputy director Hisham Hashim, to go all out to pin some dirt on DAP.

Anonymous: Beng Hock, do it yourself - haunt the ones who caused your death and those invisible hands day and night, give them no rest and scare them till they confess...
