Rembau parliamentarian Khairy Jamaluddin today questioned whether the police are doing their best to apprehend fugitive blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin, who he contends is openly taunting them by blatantly walking the streets of London unharrassed.
"Are they unaware or did they choose not to know RPK's movements and location?," asked Khairy (

"Last week he gave a speech at the Friends of Pakatan launch in London. The press release for the event was sent out two days in advance, listing him as a speaker," he said.
This, he contended, was open knowledge and was freely available to everyone on the Internet and not some secret information from Interpol that was difficult to obtain.
Raja Petra openly spoke at the Pakatan event in London yesterday to about 200 people.
"Why couldn't they arrest him? Why is there no action from the police?" asked Khairy, who is also Umno Youth chief.
He stated that he is baffled by this as premier Najib Abdul Razak himself has told the police to apprehend Raja Petra (

Khairy also wondered why the inspector-general of police is still one step behind in investigating Raja Petra's hiding place and who is helping to hide him, when the blogger is prancing around in public.
He added that, even if they cannot arrest Raja Petra in London due to lack of jurisdiction, the police should make use of the good relationship between the Malaysian police and Scotland Yard, headquarters of the London Metropolitan Police, to bring him back.
Raja Petra was charged with sedition and criminal defamation, but was given a discharge not amounting to an acquittal when the arrest warrant could not be served on him last year.
