Inspector General of Police (IGP) Musa Hassan said the police is investigating PKR's mouthpiece Suara Keadilan under the Printing Presses and Publication Act 1984 and the Sedition Act 1948, for publishing a "confidential government paper".

NONE "We have begun the investigation, and it is still on-going," said Musa ( right ), refusing to go into detail on who they will call to give statements.

The Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein, who was present at the press conference at the ministry today, added that they had no problems with the PAS publication Harakah as it had given the ministry their full cooperation.

"The ministry only has problems with other political parties' publications."

He mentioned Suara Keadilan , which he said is resorting to defiance. "From the beginning they wanted to publish although the permit had expired," he said.

Earlier this week a police report was lodged against the PKR organ for breaching the Official Secrets Act (OSA).

Home Ministry deputy assistant secretary Abdul Rahim Mohd Radzi confirmed that this was because it published a document classified as 'secret' on its front page.

‘Not politically motivated'

Apart from Suara Keadilan and Harakah , DAP's The Rocket has also run afoul of the ministry.

He added that a publication's status depended on the cooperation they give to the ministry, maintaining that there is no political motive behind the sudden blitz.
