Anwar Ibrahim's sodomy trial continues today with a reply by lead counsel Karpal Singh to solicitor-general II Mohd Yusof Zainal Abiden's submission following the defence's striking-out application.
Yesterday, Kuala Lumpur High Court judge justice Mohamad Zabidin Mohd Diah rejected two oral applications by Karpal.
One was to call star witness and complainant Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan and DPP Farah Azlina Latif to
take the witness stand
over their alleged affair and possible leakage of vital documents and evidence.
The other was to cross-examine DPP Mohd Hanafiah Zakaria to answer allegations testing his credibility when he was alleged to have flouted syariah laws with his second marriage done in Thailand.
Mohd Hanafiah had earlier filed a sworn affidavit testifying that prosecution's documents were not leaked to his colleague, Farah Azlina.
After lead defence counsel Karpal completed his submission this morning, Mohamad Zabidin told the court that he will deliver his decision next Monday.
