PKR polls continue through its second weekend today with nine more divisions in Sabah voting for party leadership posts as well as for the Youth and Wanita wings.
PKR polls continued today with a total of nine divisions in Sabah that met to cast ballots for national party leadership posts as well as for the Youth and Wanita wings.
The divisions involved are Tawau, Pensiangan, Kota Marudu, Tuaran, Sepanggar, Putatan, Sipitang, Beluran and Tenom.
Unofficial results for the 87 divisions that Malaysiakini has managed to contact has Azmin Ali ( right ) extending his lead over his two opponents in the race for party deputy president.
Azmin, who is Gombak MP, presently leads with a margin of 2,620 votes with his total 6,525, while Zaid Ibrahim has garnered 3,905 and Mustaffa Kamil Ayub 1,215 votes.
The following are the unofficial results from the nine divisions that met today:
Tawau: Azmin (553), Zaid (4), Mustaffa (0)
Sepanggar: Azmin (114), Zaid (49), Mustaffa (10)
Sipitang: Azmin (83), Zaid (65), Mustaffa (1)
Putatan: Azmin (28), Zaid (112), Mustaffa (2)
Beluran: Azmin (9), Zaid (37), Mustaffa (0)
Kota Marudu: Azmin (173), Zaid (65), Mustaffa (2)

Tenom: (311), Zaid (4), Mustaffa (0)
Pensiangan: Azmin (49), Zaid (87), Mustaffa (0)
There appears to be some differences in terms of unofficial results with various party sources issuing disparate figures over the No 2 contest.
The differences are marginal, however, with one of the insiders asserting Azmin had netted 6,502 votes instead of 6,525; Zaid won 3,973 votes instead of 3,905; and Mustaffa bagged 1,208 instead of 1,215 votes.
Azmin's majority over his nearest contestant, thus, is said to be 2,529 instead of 2,620.
This weekend’s polls are significant as Sabah has the largest number of members after Selangor and hence is seen as influential on the final tally.
Pasir Mas in Kelantan and nine Sabah divisions voted yesterday , including Sandakan, Beaufort and Papar as divisions that gave Azmin a significant majority over his opponents.
