Apco Worldwide today said that an affidavit that was just revealed confirmed what it had been saying from the beginning in that it was not involved with the "One Israel" programme.

NONE Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Mohd Nazri Abdul Aziz ( left ) today made public an affidavit from one of the political consultants involved with "One Israel" stating that Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim’s allegations against Apco were false.

"The affidavit confirms what we have said from the beginning. Apco had no involvement of any kind in ‘One Israel.’

"Any statement alleging that Apco was involved in ‘One Israel’ is untrue. It is also untrue that Apco was involved in the creation of 1Malaysia," Apco, the international public relations firm engaged by the Malaysian government, said in a statement issued from its headquarters in Washington, DC.

The company said that it first learnt about the 1Malaysia initiative in early 2009, months after it had been announced in a speech by Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

Apco also said that it had cooperated fully with the parliamentary rights and privileges committee and had given a complete and accurate response, with corroborating evidence, to the false charges against the company.
