Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Ismail Omar (

"We will investigate the matter extensively and transparently," he told a press conference in Kuala Lumpur.
The 1:47 minute-long video is reportedly an edited version of a longer recording shown to a group of reporters and interested parties on March 21.
The video snippet was posted on YouTube and an anti-opposition website yesterday afternoon.
Anwar's wife and PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail earlier today said she had watched the YouTube clip and denied it was her husband in the footage.
Ismail called on members of the public not to speculate on the matter as the probe was under way.
"I call on the people not to come to conclusions and speculate. Do not sideline the laws and do not act according to emotion.
"Let the police investigate the matter. What is important is that we seek the truth."
At the same press conference, Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said his ministry did not know who was responsible for uploading the video clip on YouTube .
"I myself do not know where the video clip in YouTube came from, but as far as I know, in the context of the police duties, based on the police report that has been made, the IGP himself is monitoring (the case).
"We have informed the media, and that is what is in the knowledge of the police. This was what was told me by the IGP when asked.
"Who took out (the clip)? Who exposed it? Who was in the video? Who uploaded it on YouTube ? Only God knows.
"What is most important is that the people must understand that the police have their responsiblities.
"As of now, I see that the RMP (Royal Malaysian Police) have carried out the tasks professionally in assessing the video that is with them. After that, it will be up to the attorney-general," Hishammuddin said.
PKR Youth lodges MCMC complaint
Meanwhile PKR Youth today lodged a complaint with Malaysia Multimedia and Communication Commission (MCMC) against parties who had uploaded the clip onto the net.
The complaint named several blogs including papagomo.com , pisau.net and gerakanantipkr.blogspot.com that it wanted the MCMC to investigate over the online broadcasting of the clip.
They also wanted the investigation of a Youtube account holder under the name ‘thepowerman’ whom they say had loaded the clip into the video site.
Said Youth deputy information chief Rozan Azen Mat Rasip, the complaint is based on Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
Rozan said the complaint was received by the deputy director of the complaints bureau Shaharliza Mohd Saman.
