PKR to DAP: Don't win the battle but lose the war

Indon Planter: PKR Youth vice-chief Chan Ming Kai, can't you discuss this among your peers in Pakatan Rakyat behind closed doors? Why are you giving ammunition to BN? As deputy election director, can't you understand this simple fact?

Kgen: DAP which claims itself to be multi-racial, now wants all the Chinese-majority seats. Please, the Chinese-majority seats are not the right of any party. Please think of the multi-racial aspect of Pakatan rather than the narrow aspect of victory.

DAP should try its best to move away from its image of being a Chinese party instead of trying to grab all the Chinese-majority seats.

Southpaw: It seems PKR is parroting the same scare tactics used by Umno to demean DAP and PAS. Perhaps PKR should stand alone to fight BN.

Wanderer: If Pakatan wishes to win the war they should appreciate a collective effort. If you are going to fight among yourselves, how do you expect the electorate to have the confidence in you forming a government.

Isn't it obvious that Pakatan should demonstrate their spirit of oneness. United you rule, divided you perish.

Petestop: Unfortunately PKR has the lousiest of candidates, contributing to the most ‘frogs' in Parliament and in state assemblies.

I would suggest that PKR do a clean up of its own party and reinforce the selection criteria of their candidates, instead of one based on Anwar Ibrahim's patronage or those who "angkat" Anwar.

By comparison, PAS and DAP candidates have proven reliable, sticking with their party through thick and thin. PKR, don't bite off more that you can chew.

Who Is That Masked Man?: It's time for the BN component parties to dump Umno/BN and become independent parties and build the grassroots from there.

This is the only way for the component parties to salvage their integrity, sincerity, and honour. No more riding on the coat-tails of Umno.

If they don't, I am afraid they will be finally wiped out. There is no leader in BN with the high moral fibre and character which we want as the PM in our country. By the way, DSAI (Anwar Ibrahim) isn't what we are looking for either.

But somewhere in our country there is one who is unblemished and who is a sincere public servant, and most important of all, intelligent.

John Lau: PPP has been registering new voters in the past month. To date, PPP has registered more than 75,000 new voters.

We are convinced that PPP president M Kayveas and his team of able PPP leaders will be given those seats that its candidates can win. The report of the PPP president not getting any seat is very biased.

Anonymous: The politically correct thing for the component parties to do is to pull out of the BN immediately. This is so that they have an opportunity to rebuild their credibility and support base.

As it stands now, their credibility among the rakyat would most likely be at its lowest point. This is so even after all the public relations campaigns they have carried out.

Basically, we are feeling very let down by these politicians. To me, the component parties better take a good look at themselves and decide what do they stand for - sucking up to big brother Umno or standing up for the principles of a free and democratic country.

Penang Gerakan taunts 'not-so-smart' CM

Myop101: Gerakan, pick up an iPhone, flip to the back and see what it says. Noticed it says, ‘Design by Apple in California. Assembled in China'. Two things come to mind:

1) It may be designed by Apple but it doesn't assemble it. Otherwise, it would be ‘Designed by Apple in California and Assembled by Apple in China'.

2) It is a well-known fact Apple outsources the manufacturing of its products to third parties who can do it more efficiently.

And in sticking the Apple name and logo there, it means the products meet its standards. So what is the fuss if RIM does the same?

Tkc: Why are the BN politicians trying so hard to teach us English these days, for example, plant vs outsourcing, colony vs protectorate, or raid vs inspection? In its context, they all mean ‘lebih kurang' the same.

Let's hope that RIM does not change its mind and decide to move its investment to another country due to the hassle created by childish politicians seeking cheap publicity. That would be a sad day for Penang indeed.

How are you going to govern the state? Do you have an SOP (standard operating procedure) on governance and administration? For example, how would you fend off Umno's Ahmad Ismail? Would you be able to keep Umno's power hungry operators at bay?

One huff-puff from Umno and it is your tail that goes into hiding. Is there life for you outside of Umno when Umno is your oxygen?

Your party has become an embarrassment - you don't represent Penangites; instead, you represent a weak leader in Koh Tsu Koon, who is contended to be the perennial yes-man and kept in a birdcage for Umno's pleasure.

Do you really expect to be returned to power whilst the Ahmad Ismails roam Gurney Drive at their personal, racist-motivated pleasure?

I feel sorry for you - you can't even tell that you are losers so long as you sing Umno's tune. And that is the worse form of existence.
