Tioman PAS deputy chief Mohd Fadzli Mohd Ramly, was today given a discharge not amounting to an acquittal by the Kuantan Session Court for wearing a yellow T-shirt carrying the logo of electoral reform Bersih.

The judge, Fathiyah Idris handed down a similar judgment to trader Abdul Manaf Md Hassan, 41 who was arrested together with Mohd Fazli, 33 while wearing a yellow T-shirt with the words "Bersih 2.0".

NONE However, Mohd Fadzli ( right ) when contacted, said he was not satisfied with the judgment, as he had not threatened national security.

"This is a ridiculous charge that is a desperate attempt by Umno and BN to harass the people who are demanding for clean and fair elections," he said.

He added that his T-shirt has yet to be returned by the authorities.

The duo were charged in July with promoting the " interests of an illegal society " by donning T-shirts that bore the logo of Bersih which was outlawed by the government.

They were alleged to have committed the offence at the Kampung Mentara PAS headquarters in Rompin on July 2 and were granted bail at RM3,000.

Mohd Fadzli said that he is mulling legal action against the government for his arrest.

"We are considering whether to take action or not. We are thinking about filing a lawsuit (against the government)," he said.

The prosecution was led by Pahang chief prosecutor Kalmizah Salleh while the accused were represented by lawyers Hon Kai Ping and Hisham Ramzam.
