An Apple game, seemingly inspired by the prime minister’s wife, is now rated the second most popular among Malaysian paid apps.

NONE Perhaps cashing in on the media attention on its game Aku Jimat , the thus far anonymous developer of the electronic game, Antarctic Group, is now charging US$0.99 per download.

The new price tag for the 1.1 version of the game, which features a cartoon character resembling Rosmah Mansor, complete with her recognisable hairdo, was placed yesterday.

The game, the only one developed by the group, is available at the Apple App Store for users of iPhone, iPad and iPhone, was launched launched last month.

It received media attention on Jan 19, sparking more downloads of the game.

At press time, 154 people have awarded the game the five-star rating.

In describing the game, the developer said, it is “to educate the kids the important ( sic ) of saving since childhood. The younger you achieve your saving ( sic ) goal, the better!”.

NONE Users catch falling coins and gold bars using a piggy bank and use the money to shop for an array of handbags, a house, a car or most damningly, a diamond ring worth US$24 million (RM74 million).

Rosmah was last year accused of buying a ring worth RM24 million, but vehemently denied it. 

She was also accused of spending thousands on Hermes handbags, with a collage of press photographs of her carrying the bags going viral on the Internet.  

The accusations led to the Internet circulation of fake news which claimed that Rosmah made the lavish purchases using money saved from young.
