'This is no way to treat our leaders'

YOURSAY 'You have to get your priorities right. There is always a platform for your type of grievances and certainly the CSL/LGE debate is not one of them.'

Jessie Ooi defends poser to Guan Eng

your say Geronimo: Jessie, the way you yelled and screamed in such incoherent manner simply reflects the type of person you are - uncultured.

You have to remember that there are two leaders from two different political parties present. One, the president of MCA and the other, the chief minister of an island state.

The least you could do was to show your due respect because of the office LGE (Lim Guan Eng) is holding, no more no less.

Even as much as some people loathe your boss, you do not find DAP members treating CSL (Chua Soi Lek) in the most unbecoming manner.

The session was to allow the two leaders and their followers to engage in an intellectual discourse concerning the future of the country, and here you are shouting and screaming about assessment rate and towing of cars.

You have to get your priorities right. There is always a platform for your type of grievances and certainly the CSL/LGE debate is not one of them. Shame on you, and mind you, you look awful on video.

Ferdtan: Imagine that Jessie Ooi is a Selangor MCA Beliawanis chief? If all MCA women leaders are like her - MCA is finished.

Her reasoning and twisting of the facts are insulting to all of us. We are not stupid. The damage control of her angry outburst captured on TV is so amateurish that - it is better not to issue any more statements.

You blew your chance completely of being selected to contest in the coming election. You are now a national joke.

You should have come out in public admitting your mistakes, and apologise for it. That way the public may empathise with you as you are seen to be sincere and had made an honest mistake due to your inexperience.

However after this, it's goodbye to your political life. Even if MCA is stupid enough to select you as candidate for the coming election, you are sure to lose.

WeCANLive: Jessie Ooi has to understand that in this day and age it's difficult for anyone to keep quiet and not voiced their displeasure against her.

She should understand that majority of the minorities in Malaysia are fed up with the system of nepotism, favouritism and greed that has engulfed the country for more than 50 years.

But we should not take it out on her and her family.

Anak JB: Jessie, if you have admitted your mistake, apologised and asked for forgiveness, Malaysians are a forgiving lot. There is no rational for your thuggish finger-pointing behaviour and shouting on top of your voice over the issues of car park and assessment.

If you have a personal dislike for Guan Eng or DAP, I can understand, but at least you have to accord some respect for the Penang chief minister and for those Malaysians who have voted for him.

It seems that you have an axe to grind, but the way you rattled on is like you are full of hatred. I don't think Guan Eng or anyone deserves this and definitely not on national TV.

Rakyat Malaysia: What has come out from your mouth is sealed. You can't change that. What is spoken is heard by thousands of people. You can't re-write history.

You want to give excuses, then you should know better being a politician. Next time, make sure you have the facts and process it through your brain first before you talk.

Free & Fair Election: There is an old proverb which says it takes 10 lies to cover one lie. This is exactly what Jessie Ooi is doing.

Leon Chan: Dear Jessie, asking questions is not wrong, but the manner in which you posed your questions was unacceptable.

You look like a gangster instead of a well-educated person. Didn't your parents teach you how to speak and behave in a well-mannered way?

Regarding traffic rules, I suggest you drive to Singapore and try to park your car haphazardly, even in the middle of the night and see what happens.

And did you know one has to pay parking fees in the public parking area even if it's 3am or 4am? Singapore is a good example of strict traffic enforcement and everything seems so orderly.

Regarding Selangor assessment rate, the debate was the wrong platform to begin with. You should ask Selangor MB Khalid Ibrahim instead. It is like asking the Perak menteri besar to comment on the assessment rate of other states. I hope you get it.

Kopi O: Jessie Ooi said Pakatan did not keep its promise of lowering the assessment rate. But my own records show otherwise.

I own a condo in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The assessment rate for July-December 2007 (during BN rule) was 8 percent. The latest assessment rate for July-December 2011 (now under Pakatan rule) is 6 percent.

So, what say you, Miss Tow Truck?

Ooi, you can't talk your way out of this
