Businesswoman Ummi Hafilda Ali today said she was 99.9 percent certain the images of a man in a sex video carried by several blogsites and newspapers were that of her elder brother, Azmin Ali, the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) deputy president.

She has now challenged Azmin to make a police report to refute that the video images published were of him.

“As a younger sister, I can recognise my own brother, from his hairstyle, body shape and dressing. It’s certainly him,” she told reporters in George Town, Penang.

She has also given Azmin seven days to take action against the newspapers and blogs which have published the sex video images to clear the family’s name.

She said if Azmin did not do that, she herself would lodge a police report to know the truth and if Azmin was found to be involved in the sex scandal, he should quit his post as an elected representative and focus on the family.

    

Ummi said Azmin had for a long time not been visiting their ill mother, Che Tom Yahaya, 78.

Azmin, who is also Gombak MP, was quoted by local newspapers as saying that the man in the sex video recording was not him and that it was an attempt to discredit him in the run-up to the coming general election.

In Shah Alam, former Malacca chief minister Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik said PKR adviser Anwar Ibrahim and his deputy Azmin should resign from their posts and disband the party as they had failed to explain to the people and take legal action with regard to the moral issues they were facing.

“I had been accused before, I took legal action and proved that I was not guilty. But why are the opposition leaders keeping quiet (when faced with sex scandals)?

    

“Is it their strategy, hoping that the public will eventually forget about it?” he said.

    

Abdul Rahim said how could Anwar and Azmin stand before a crowd and talk about corruption, conduct, morals and values when they themselves had a lot of moral issues.
