Apology to Zarinah Anwar
On 14th March 2011, Mkini Dotcom Sdn Bhd had republished on its website at http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/192022 an Asia Sentinel article authored by one Mr. M.A. Wind entitled “And another one bites the dust” (“the Article”) that was initially published on the Asia Sentinel website at http://www.asiasentinel.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=4321&Itemid=229 on 12th March 2012 under the heading “Malaysia’s Securities Watchdog Head Quits”.
It has been pointed out to Mkini Dotcom Sdn Bhd that a number of the statements and allegations contained in the said Article are factually incorrect and misconceived.
Mkini Dotcom Sdn Bhd now accepts the serious error in publishing the defamatory statements in the said Article over the Malaysiakini.com website and recognises the considerable damage that has been caused to Tan Sri Zarinah. Mkini Dotcom Sdn Bhd admits that it republished the statements made in the Article without first clarifying the facts and/or the matter with the parties concerned and sincerely apologizes to Tan Sri Zarinah for having made them and unreservedly withdraws all imputations upon her and thus upon the office which she then held as Chairman of the Securities Commission Malaysia. Accordingly, Mkini Dotcom Sdn Bhd wishes to withdraw and retract the allegations and the publication of the defamatory words contained in the said Article with immediate effect.
Mkini Dotcom Sdn Bhd expresses its sincere and deepest regrets for any and all distress and embarrassment caused by the publication of the defamatory words of and concerning Tan Sri Zarinah. Mkini Dotcom Sdn Bhd unreservedly apologises to Tan Sri Zarinah for its actions in publishing the defamatory words of and concerning Tan Sri Zarinah in the said Article.

Apology to Azizan Abdul Rahman
Mkini Dotcom Sdn Bhd had on 14th March, 2012 republished on its website Malaysiakini.com at the url : http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/192022 an Asia Sentinel article authored by one Mr. M.A. Wind entitled “And another one bites the dust” (“the Article”) that was initially published on the Asia Sentinel website at http://www.asiasentinel.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=4321&Itemid=229 under the heading “Malaysia’s Securities Watchdog Head Quits” on 12th March 2012.
It has been brought to the attention of Mkini Dotcom Sdn Bhd that several statements and allegations contained in the said Article of and concerning Datuk Azizan Abdul Rahman, the Chairman of Eastern & Oriental Berhad are factually incorrect and misconceived.
Mkini Dotcom Sdn Bhd now accepts that read as a whole, the contents of the said Article constitute a grave and serious libel on Datuk Azizan Abdul Rahman and recognises the considerable damage that has been caused.
Mkini Dotcom Sdn Bhd admits that it republished the statements made in the article without first clarifying the matter with Datuk Azizan Abdul Rahman and therefore sincerely apologizes to him.
Mkini Dotcom Sdn Bhd therefore unreservedly withdraws all imputations and aspersions cast upon Datuk Azizan Abdul Rahman on his personal and business reputation. Consequently, Mkini Dotcom Sdn Bhd hereby withdraws and retracts the allegations and the publication of the defamatory words contained in the said Article with immediate effect.
Mkini Dotcom Sdn Bhd further expresses its sincere and deepest regrets for any and all distress and embarrassment caused by the publication of the defamatory words of and concerning Datuk Azizan Abdul Rahman, and unequivocally and unreservedly apologises to Datuk Azizan Abdul Rahman for publishing the said Article.
