An investigation paper on a policeman who allegedly ran amok , injured two hotel workers and damaged several vehicles in Seremban 2 on Tuesday, has been completed for submission to the deputy public prosecutor’s office this week.
State deputy police chief Abd Manan Mohd Hassan said today, the 32-year-old inspector was detained at his house about 10am, on the same day.
He said the policeman, who was remanded for two days, beginning yesterday, was freed on bail.
In the incident at 2.50am, the inspector and his friends were said to have gone to the hotel where an argument broke out between him and two counter staff at the lobby.
The incident was recorded by closed-circuit television camera at the hotel.
Abd Manan said investigations found the inspector, who had served the force for 10 years without any disciplinary problem, ran amok because he was stressed out over a family problem.
He said the man was posted to the Seremban police headquarters, about eight months ago.
Prior to that, he was stationed at the federal police headquarters in Bukit Aman.
