The husband of television station (TV9) administration executive Nur Syaleza Jaffar, 31, who was found dead at their home last month, was charged with her death at the magistrate’s court in Petaling Jaya today.

However, no plea was recorded from Norazman Bashah Ahmad Azam Bashah, 31, an information technology executive with an oil and gas company.

He is accused of committing the offence at No 115, Blok O, Saujana Apartment in Jalan PJU 10/1C, Damansara Damai, between 12 noon and 7.30pm on July 28 this year.

Magistrate Ahmad Solihin Abd Wahid fixed Sept 14 for mention.

The accused, who faces the mandatory death sentence if found guilty under Section 302 of the Penal Code, was represented by counsel Shah Rizal Abdul Manan.

Deputy public prosecutor Siti Ruvinna Mohd Rawi appeared for the prosecution.
