Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad today said that the Arabs are by nature incapable of the detailed execution of the Sept 11, 2001 attacks which has been blamed on Arab terrorists.

NONE However, Mahathir said the kind of "detailed planning, precise training and execution" required for the attack are something that agents trained by the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Israeli's Institute of Intelligence and Special Operations (Mossad) are capable of.

"The Arabs may have been great warriors in the past but after they fell under Western rule, they seem to have lost their prowess in wars. In their wars against Israel they were so inept that they have never won a single battle even though their forces far outnumbered the Israelis.

"The Arabs never seem to be able to plan or strategise, and certainly their execution of battle plans is just plain bad. They are not a disciplined people and this lack of discipline shows everywhere. They can't keep anything secret...

osama bin laden dead protest 1 "I can imagine trained operatives like those in the CIA and Mossad planning and executing this complex operation but I cannot imagine an Arab like (al-Qaeda leader) Osama bin Laden, planning from some remote place in Afghanistan," he said.

Mahathir had said this in his keynote speech at the Perdana Global Peace Foundation conference to uncover the truth about the 9/11 attacks in PWTC, Kuala Lumpur today.

The anti-war activist had previously courted controversy by saying that if the US can produce the blockbuster animation film Avatar , then the country also has the ability to manufacture the 9/11 attacks.

'Find the beneficiaries'

Apologising to the Arabs for saying they are inept, Mahathir persisted that only people "like the American marines who planned and carried out the assassination of bin Laden, with the planning, including the disposal of the body of their victim".

"They are brilliant. If the Arabs undertake such training, it would soon become known to the CIA and Mossad. If the hijackers were not Arab, who were brilliant the hijackers?" he asked.

He said this was despite the Western nations realising that Muslims are "too busy killing each other than Americans or Europeans".

"(Muslim) airline passengers are subjected to humiliating searches... and at the slightest suspicion, hauled off for questioning and detention...

"Perhaps (the Western nations) feel guilty and expect revenge for the injustices perpetrated by them that they fear Muslims. They are still obsessed with their own security to the detriment of the security of other people," he said.

He added that the search for the truth should ultimately look at the "beneficiaries" of 9/11.

"9/11... launched a horrific war which killed hundreds of thousands of Muslims, devastated Iraq and Afghanistan... (and the) undermining of the security of nations everywhere, forcing trillions of dollars spent.

"Someone gained from this, find the beneficiaries and you'll find the real terrorists," he said.

Others due to speak at the conference are former US congresswoman Cythia McKinney, journalist James Corbett, founder of Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth Richard Gage, International Movement for a Just World Chandra Muzaffar and university professors Niloufer Bhagwat, Hans Koechler and Gurdial Singh Nijar.
