Director of strategy Rafizi Ramli said most of the ideas were an extension of government programmes which, he said, have shown shortcomings.
"About 15 percent of the promises are roundly copied from the promises that existed in Pakatan manifesto," he claimed at a press conference in party headquarters today.
Taking a swipe at Najib for "unashamedly" lifting Pakatan's ideas, Rafizi also demanded that he defends the originality of the BN manifesto.
Najib had decided to include parts of Pakatan's ideas in the BN manifesto because he had measured ground sentiments, where Pakatan's promises are extremely popular, he said.
"We have gone to the ground, done the calculations and showed to the people that what we are promising is very do-able," he said.
According to Rafizi, the ideas lifted from Pakatan's manifesto are the more radical ones that have stirred public sentiments.
"The ideas they have copied ... (include) reducing car prices, abolishing tolls, giving out individual taxi permits, and building homes for estate workers.
"PKR will enter the election in a situation where BN has to defend the originality of their manifesto.”
He said that choosing BN to lead the next federal government would mean a return to programmes which “have not met set targets”.
