PAS has joined its ally, DAP, in declaring that it will not boycott the upcoming Parliament session which will begin on June 24.

According to Sinar Harian , PAS secretary-general Mustafa Ali said that the party will only boycott the special briefing for MPs tomorrow, which had been a decision made by the Pakatan Rakyat leadership council.

NONE "All PAS MPs will attend the Dewan Rakyat sitting as usual. It is impossible that we will boycott the Parliament sitting. We are only skipping the briefing," Mustafa ( right ) was quoted as saying.

Last Friday, DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang had also reportedly said that DAP MPs will not boycott the swearing-in ceremony.

This comes after PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim said that he was considering a boycott of the coming parliamentary sitting.

In another development, the Malay language daily also reported PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution as saying that Parti Sosialis Malaysia's (PSM) application to join Pakatan had been rejected.

He was responding to PSM secretary-general S Arutchelvan, who had urged Pakatan to respond in "black-and-white" to its application.

Saifuddin added that a "black-and-white" reply will be sorted out by the coalition's secretariat, but that the decision is already known.

"Our decision is clear. We do not accept, we reject (PSM)," he was quoted as saying.
