The Meteorological Department has forecast generally fine weather on polling day tomorrow in the Kuala Besut state by-election.

Its director-general, Che Gayah Ismail, said the weather was expected to be cloudy in the morning and fine in the afternoon.

The maximum temperature in Kuala Besut was expected to be 32 degrees Celsius, she added.

The by-election is a straight fight between Tengku Zaihan Che Ku Abd Rahman of the Barisan Nasional (BN) and Endot alias Azlan Yusof of PAS.

The by-election has been necessitated by the death of assemblyman Dr A Rahman Mokhtar of the BN on June 26.
