Pandan MP and PKR director of strategy Rafizi Ramli is being investigated under the Sedition Act 1948 over a book titled ‘Reformasi 2.0: Fakta kes Anwar Ibrahim’.

In a statement, Rafizi said he has agreed for the police to record his statement at 5pm today.

“The police have opened an investigation paper following reports lodged against the book which provides details of the Sodomy II trial of Anwar Ibrahim at the Court of Appeal,” he said.

“This is not the first time that I am being investigated and it is not surprising,” he said, adding that 20,000 copies of the book had been sold.

Rafizi further questioned the selective prosecution by the authorities namely the police and the attorney-general, who had not taken action on the recent racist statements which had resulted in the feeling of unrest in the community.

This, he said, only shows that the law is only used to frighten Pakatan Rakyat leaders.

The Court of Appeal had last month overturned the Kuala Lumpur High Court decision and found Anwar guilty of sodomising his former aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, at the Desa Damansara condominium on June 26, 2008.
