The woman, known as Kiki, 30, arrived at the Kuantan district police station at about 4pm. She was accompanied by her parents and a younger sister.
Kuantan district police chief ACP Abdul Aziz Salleh said the police would investigate the case, which had gone viral on the social media, from all aspects.
"The police are looking for the steering wheel lock which was allegedly used by the woman to hit the senior citizen's car.
"According to the woman, she threw it in the street and we are looking for it as an exhibit," he told reporters in Kuantan today.
He said the police had identified the individual who made a video recording of the incident and then uploading it on the social website.
The police had recorded Sim's statement yesterday and would call him again, if necessary, to assist in the investigation, he added.
He said the case was being investigated for mischief and criminal intimidation.
In the 1.10 pm incident last Monday, Kiki, who was driving alone, turned into road rage and hit Sim's car with a steering lock after the senior citizen knocked her Peugeot 208 car.
Kiki's road rage was recorded on video by a passer-by and uploaded on social websites.
